The black world of counterintelligence, spies, and surveillance is adding some new weapons from SAS through social media

Why not? After all, at SAS, the slogan is “The Power to Know.”

Welcome to the war against terror, riots and crime through real-time analysis of Twitter tweets, YouTube videos and Facebook “likes” by SAS. A three-letter company may already be or soon hopes to be partnering with three-letter agencies (CIA, FBI, NSA, MI5, MI6, ATF,DIA and no one knows how many others).

In San Antonio this weekend, SAS is unveiling a new suite of security offerings at an international defense and intelligence trade show – called GEOINT 2011. The world’s largest privately held software company is teaming with defense and aerospace contractor Analytical Graphics, Inc. for the package of services targeting “Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance,” or ISR as it’s known in the military.
